Hercules

A look back at former WBA heavyweight champion Mike Weaver's rise to the top. A high school athlete and later United States Marine, Weaver would be nicknamed "Hercules" when he served as a sparring partner for heavyweight champion Ken Norton. Unsure of whether to proceed with a boxing career, Weaver would become one of the most exciting heavyweights of the early 1980s because of his crushing power and work ethic.
